Very flat trail - only a couple small hills. Great for a leisurely walk or run. Several parking areas along Sand Run Parkway with access to the trail. The trail is cleared of snow in the winter.

Easy trail. Not far from the start, there's a boardwalk over the beaver marsh. Pretty cool spot. You can often see Great Blue Herons in the canal or marsh as well as ducks, geese, and turtles.

Szalay's Farm Market is pretty cool. Fresh produce at reasonable prices. Open June through October. Three eatery huts on the weekends. Corn maze mid-Sept through October.
Several restaruants and shops in Peninsula around the trailhead. Trail restrooms have running water at this location. I think there's a water bottle refill, or at least a water fountain, by the restrooms, too.
Easy trail to start, a few small hills until just before you get to Peninsula - then there's a couple steep hills.

Nice ride to the next trailhead. Historic House/Museum, visitor center and restrooms (running water), and a small store with snacks, prepacked sandwiches, beverages. You can see Boston Mills ski resort nearby.

Easy walk through the arboretum area of Nature Realm. Two small ponds. Flowering trees are pretty in the spring. Visitor Center - amateur photography exhibit January - May. Full restrooms with running water accessible from outside during park hours.

A nicely challenging hike on a horseshoe loop trail that follows down the Smith Rd hill. Total elevation change of 237 feet.
Patches of the trail can get muddy after heavy rain during the summer. Large sections get very muddy and slippery in early spring during winter thaw.
O'Neil Woods - Deer Run Trail

This hike starts at the top of a hill. Total elevation change is about 260 ft. At the bottom of the hill, you cross bath road and follow a trail along Yellow Creek before crossing Bath Rd again and climbing back up the hill on the other side of the loop trail.
Hampton Hills - Adam Run Trail

Adam Run is the longer of the two trails at Hampton Hills. The start of the trail is relatively flat with a few small hills. You cross a creek bed a four times on stepping stones. After the fourth pass of the creek, you start the staggered climb to the top of the hill - about 300 ft total elevation change.
Cascade Valley - Schumacher Trail

Challenging trail with a total elevation change of ~300 ft. The main trail is a loop with a tail on two sides - one goes to the parking area on Northampton Rd, the other connects to the Towpath with the nearest trailhead parking lot being Sand Run Big Bend area. Total distance depends which trailhead you start at. One side of the loop has more steep climbs, the other does a lot of switchback paths. Great views.
Cascade Valley - Oxbow and Overlook

Oxbow Trail starts at river level and there are several places you can walk a few feet off trail and be at the Cuyahoga River edge. It then climbs a 112 ft and connects to the Overlook Trail, where there's an overlook deck at the oxbow bend of the river - awesome view. The Overlook trail is a paved .5 mi loop that is handicap accessible. Oxbow Trail is a 1.2 mi dirt path loop with the big hill. The park also features a picnic area by the river, baseball fields and a sledding hill in the winter.

Two dirt trails that are mostly level - some small hills. This area was most recently a golf course before the parks system bought it in 2016 and began habitat restoration. Pretty in the fall.

Very challenging start to this trail with approx 100ft steep climb. Once at the top, the trail is fairly flat until you descend back down to the street level. The descent section isn't quite as steep as the trail start.
